Jak wykonać ćwiczenie
- 1
Starting position:
- 2
Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- 3
Hold a dumbbell in each hand with a neutral grip (palms facing each other).
- 4
Keep a slight bend in your elbows, shoulders relaxed and shoulder blades pulled back.
- 5
Execution:
- 6
Slowly raise the dumbbells forward and slightly to the side, at about a 30–45° angle from your body (between a front raise and a lateral raise).
- 7
Lift until your arms are about shoulder height (do not go overhead).
- 8
Pause for a second at the top and feel the activation in your shoulders and scapular stabilizers.
- 9
Lower the dumbbells back down under control to the starting position.
- 10
Breathing:
- 11
Inhale as you lower the dumbbells.
- 12
Exhale as you lift them.
- 13
Common mistakes:
- 14
Using dumbbells that are too heavy (causing jerky movements).
- 15
Lifting above shoulder height (puts unnecessary stress on the shoulder joint).
- 16
Arching the lower back instead of keeping the movement controlled at the shoulders.
- 17
Purpose of the exercise:
- 18
Activates the lower trapezius, serratus anterior, and scapular stabilizers.
- 19
Helps correct posture and improve shoulder balance.
